Zac Roy leads anat.’s Education & Youth Development practice, bringing more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications. Since joining the firm in 2011, he has led high-impact campaigns and long-term communications efforts for K–12 schools, higher education institutions, and youth-serving nonprofits. Zac specializes in uncovering and elevating powerful stories—from classrooms and campuses to community programs—that resonate with the media and engage families, funders, policymakers, and other key audiences. He also develops mission-aligned content across platforms—including print, digital, and live events—to strengthen donor relationships, inspire community support, and advance organizational goals.
In 2023, Crain’s New York Business named Zac a “Notable Leader in Advertising, Marketing, and PR.” Before joining anat., he worked in corporate communications at Time Inc. He began his career as a journalist covering Lower Manhattan.
Zac holds bachelor’s degrees in history and journalism from NYU and has completed graduate coursework in Strategic Communications at Columbia University. Originally from St. Louis, he has called New York home since 2000 and lives with his wife and son in Westchester.
