Strong communications counsel starts with understanding the issues, not just the headlines.
On July 15, Jeff Simmons, Nasreen Hussain and Erica López attended the City & State New York Aging Summit, which brought together nonprofit leaders, advocates, policymakers and other experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities affecting older New Yorkers.
Sessions explored issues including affordable housing, healthcare, caregiving, funding, social isolation and the policies shaping aging services across New York City and State.
These issues are central to the work of several anat. clients, including Selfhelp Community Services, JASA, Encore Community Services and AARP New York. AARP New York also helped lead the conversation through its participation in a summit panel.
Attending events like the Aging Summit gives our team the opportunity to hear directly from leaders in the field, better understand the policy landscape and stay informed about the emerging challenges facing the communities our clients serve.
That deeper knowledge strengthens our ability to identify meaningful stories, anticipate communications opportunities and provide strategic guidance grounded in the realities of the issue.
Thank you to City & State New York for bringing the aging services community together for an important day of learning and discussion.
