PUBLIC RELATIONS SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Anat Gerstein Inc., a full service communications firm serving the nonprofit sector, is seeking a communications and public relations professional with five to ten years of experience to lead and manage accounts, provide strategic communications counsel, planning, and implementation services; oversee stakeholder engagement through multiple channels; develop executive and organizational positioning; craft and execute public relations plans; and lead efforts on any crisis communications. We are seeking a creative, high-energy individual who can generate earned and owned stories that move people to action. The ideal candidate excels at writing and presenting and has experience with traditional and social media. They should have a solid track record of planning and executing PR and communications campaigns, and an established network of media contacts. Agency and government experience is highly preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
Develop and execute multi-channel communications programs for a variety of clients, based on clients’ organizational goals and target audiences.
Client services include strategic communications planning and execution, media relations, social media, donor communications, advocacy communications, promotional content development, online and print collateral development, the development and execution of various communications campaigns, and more.
The ideal candidate will become part of each client’s team, always working to guarantee the highest level of service.

- An understanding of New York City government and how it functions is preferred.
SALARY
$85,000-$120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

VICE PRESIDENT, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

We are seeking a vice president for our Community Development practice. Candidates must have at least 10 years of relevant experience.
We are looking for a seasoned creative strategist who is high-energy, enthusiastic, and deeply driven to help nonprofits achieve organizational goals. Specifically, the VP must:
- Be a seasoned strategist who can provide sound guidance to senior-level nonprofit executives
- Have experience working in or with nonprofits
- Have excellent oral and written communications skills
- Possess a broad network of media contacts and have expertise in generating media coverage (stories, interviews, op-eds, etc.)
- Have experience generating content that moves various audiences – including participants, donors/funders, and policy makers to action
- Be a coach who loves to support the professional growth of teammates
- Be highly organized and capable of leading multiple accounts simultaneously

RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership: Lead the Community Development practice, ensuring all accounts receive great service and results, and that the firm continues to build expertise in the area.
Client Service: Maintain the highest levels of customer service across all accounts in the practice area; develop and oversee the implementation of strategies to build the reputation, reach, and impact of clients (e.g. press and messaging strategies, strategic guidance on the use of various communications tactics, and thought leadership).
Executive Presence: Represent anat. publicly; be the face of the company.
Business Development: Grow the practice area by bringing in new business, and ensure retention of the current client base.
Management: Coach and supervise staff and accounts, and ensure the production of high-quality deliverables, accountability, and professional growth; manage budgets across accounts and track staff hours; lead thinking on future resource needs and strategies across the practice area.
SALARY
$135,000-$160,000 commensurate with experience, plus commission for new business. Bonuses may also be awarded depending on individual and firm performance.
