Maya joined anat. in 2025 and began her career in nonprofits working in art programs and education in New York City. She furthered her community involvement by training as an urban gardener and pursuing her Master’s in Social Work at Hunter College. As a social worker, Maya counseled youth and families in schools, shelters, and in the workplace. Maya graduated from Bowdoin College with a B.A. in Sociology, and was an opinion columnist for the Bowdoin Orient. She lives in Queens, where she was born and raised. In her free time, Maya loves going to see live music and cooking new recipes.
